To mark Black History Month, we are showcasing the art, creativity and flair that has been present within Africa, the Caribbean and its Diaspora for centuries.
From art and music to cuisine and language, the world has been knowingly (and often unknowingly) influenced by Black communities. This exhibition is a celebration of those communities, the people and the customs within them. This exhibition is a collaboration between the Creative Carers Collective and the Black Carers Collective. The Black Carers Collective was established in October 2020 by Camden Carers and offers a culturally safe space for Black carers to meet, connect and discuss relevant topics. As well as celebrating Black History Month, the Black Carers Collective is also celebrating its 1st anniversary. With many talented carers in both Collectives, we hope that you enjoy this exhibition as much as we have enjoyed putting it together! |
